1) #DIGPUBG: TEAM MAKES LAN DEBUT IN AUSTIN; FINISHES 6TH PLACE

The new PUBG team made their LAN debut in Austin, Texas as the Dreamhack Austin $100,000 tournament. The audience was packed full for most of the two days, with standing room only available. Sixteen teams were tasked with playing a total of 12 games across two days. The team had a slow start on Saturday with 13th, 11th, 4th, 13th, 3rd and 11th place results. This placed Team Dignitas in tenth position. Moving into Day 2, the team refocused and came out firing. Their placings were far better; 12th, 9th, 4th, 1st, 9th and 1st. The casters mentioned the irony of Team Dignitas securing a “Winner Winner Chicken Dinner” while being sponsored by Buffalo Wild Wings. Another caster commended the team’s preparation with the Philadelphia 76ers. In the end, the PUBG team finished 6th place and were only 49 points away from third place - an incredibly small difference.

2) #DIGCSGO: FACEIT MAJOR QUALIFIERS STARTED; DIG ADVANCES TO QUARTER-FINALS

Team Dignitas men’s CS:GO team started their journey for the FACEIT Major. The process starts with one of four open North American online qualifiers. Team Dignitas cruised through the first few rounds, winning back-to-back 16-0’s followed by a 16-4. Unfortunately, the team fell one round short of the next stage with a loss to Bravado Gaming, a South African team. They’ll make a second attempt in the next qualifier on June 4. If they are one of the top two teams in the qualifier, they’ll advance to the closed qualifier stage where they’ll look to advance to the London Minor.

3) #DIGSMASH: HUGS & LUCKY FINISH TOP 13 AT SMASH’N’SPLASH 4

The Smash Bros Melee players traveled to a Wisconsin Dells waterpark for the festive Smash’N’Splash 4
tournament. As one of the larger events on the Melee circuit, Smash’N’Splash saw 924 registered players. Both Lucky and HugS played through two round robin phases, coming out as the top seeds in their respective groups. In the final bracket, both players moved throughout the bracket with win after win until hitting the Top 16. In the end, both Lucky and HugS shared a 13th place finish.

4) #DIGCLASH: ODEE JOINS CLASH PLAYERS AT FIRST CRL COMBINE

General Manager ODEE traveled to Amsterdam along with Clash Royale coach BenTM and player Karnage for the Clash Royale League’s first combine. The trio watched as Europe’s best Clash players took the stage in hopes of getting recognized by one of the CRL teams. Team Dignitas interviewed a number of candidates from across Europe and will be reaching out to their favorites over the coming days in hopes of signing two new stars.

5) #DIGCSGO FE: TEAM INVITED TO GIRL GAMER FESTIVAL TO DEFEND THEIR TITLE

As last year’s Girl Gamer Festival Macau champions, Team Dignitas’s women’s CS:GO team has been invited back for the next event to defend their title. The squad will travel to Estoril, Portugal from June 20-22 to compete for a share of the €10,000 prize purse. Team Dignitas will be joined by rivals RES Gaming, an international mix team, Europe’s Singularity and France’s eParadise Angels. Director of Fan Engagement, Heather Garozzo, will also join the team as a speaker at the preceding business conference at the Girl Gamer Festival.
