INTRODUCTION
LEE SIN Guide - by dignitas/Crumbz

LEE SIN Guide - by dignitas/CrumbzLee Sin arguably has the strongest early game in League of Legends. Despite his low base values, his kit provides him with ridiculous dueling ability and damage that allows you to dominate. Although he doesn’t scale effectively, the impact you can create with him early is so great you can secure a winning advantage before mid game. Although his damage falls off, his kit is so versatile that it allows him to transition into a utility tank as the game progresses.

Although he is so powerful, Lee Sin has an extremely high mechanical demand and his kit not only requires, but rewards technical skill. Basically, the better you are the stronger he becomes. For this reason he requires a lot of time, but once you become proficient with him you can use his kit to carry, peel, or whatever your team needs the most.

Even with his huge skill cap and lack of scaling, Lee Sin is a very safe pick. He has no counters in the jungle and can duel with anyone in almost any situation. Lee Sin doesn’t need items or even buffs so you can still make an impact if you get behind and farming isn’t a huge concern. He is a good champion if you like to play aggressively, counter jungle, and gank.

RUNES
LEE SIN Guide - by dignitas/Crumbz

Like everything else with Lee Sin, you want to pick Runes that allow you to create the largest impact you can early on. With that in mind you want to run flat attack damage marks and quintessences to maximize your early burst and flat armor seals with flat magic resistance

- 9 flat attack damage marks
- 9 flat armor seals
- 9 flat magic resistance glyphs
- 3 flat attack damage quintessences

MASTERIES
LEE SIN Guide - by dignitas/Crumbz

Maximize your damage by running 21 offense and 9 defense. The 9 points in defense is pretty standard: Improved smite and health and return damage to creeps for rapid clears with fewer backs.

ABILITIES

Sonic Wave/Resonating Strike is by far Lee Sin's most useful skill since it is a gap closer and execute. Level it up first to maximize your damage and give you the highest kill potential and chase. Next, max Tempest/Cripple to keep your damage as high as possible and for the slow. While the Safeguard/Iron Will is useful, you primarily want it for the mobility.

If you are new to Lee Sin then consider maxing his Tempest/Cripple first if you are having difficulty hitting his Sonic Wave. The slow will make them easier targets while you become accustomed to connecting with the Sonic Wave and will give your laners a greater chance to close a secure a kill.

STRATEGY
LEE SIN Guide - by dignitas/Crumbz

Since there are no direct counterpicks to Lee Sin, you should enter every game expecting the enemy jungler to fear you. No matter which champion the enemy jungler picks, you always want to fight them as much as possible. Lee Sin’s dueling and mobility make him a great for counter jungling and counter ganking. Trying to catch the enemy in their own jungle to get kills or steal their buffs is something you should be focusing on by their first or second spawn. For this you will want to buy wards so you can sight out their camps and make plays.

For all your strength early game, you don’t scale particularly well as Lee Sin, so you really want to use your early game dominance to win before scaling can even become a factor. With this in mind, you basically want to fight as much as possible. You want to gank, take objectives and counter jungle. Don’t worry about farming your own jungle since your kit operates fairly well regardless of your items. Instead, take farm in the enemy's jungle to deny them gold/experience and put them behind. If you are taking creeps from your enemy jungle then your team can farm your camps for extra gold/experience and you can donate your buffs, since you don’t really need them anyway.

Your objective should be to create a large lead for your team by about 11 minutes. With a lead by that point in the game it is very likely that you can close out the game. This is true whether your team has picked for early or late game. The early game champions will have a lead when they need it or you will have carried your late game team through their rough early game so they can scale.

First back

LEE SIN Guide - by dignitas/Crumbz If you get first blood before minions spawn. This will let you clear so fast you can spend all your time counter jungling and ganking lanes.
LEE SIN Guide - by dignitas/Crumbz  If you get first blood after minions spawn. This will again let you focus on your early impact and give you more dueling ability. It’s just about the only damage you need to buy before going tanky.
LEE SIN Guide - by dignitas/Crumbz If you don't get any kills then back when you run out of pots and rush mobility boots.
Buy wards on every back. On Lee Sin wards don’t just give you a strategic advantage but can also be used offensively and defensively with your W.

Sight stone is a great item on Lee Sin but you don’t want to invest in it early unless you have a huge advantage. It is best to just buy wards until you have your locket. The game should never get so long that you end up buying the Banshee's Veil but if it does then sell your Doran's to pick it up.
