Charity COD4 Cup: support the Thai Red Cross!

Team Dignitas will be hosting a Call of Duty 4 5on5 S&D charity tournament as we want to express our sympathy for all the victims of the floods in Thailand. The tournament will be held on Sunday November 6th starting at 17:00 CET and the main prize will be £200. Check-in will open on Sunday at 16:00 CET and close at 17:00 CET.

This fundraisers cause
October’s torrential flooding in Thailand has claimed hundreds of lives, displaced hundreds of thousands of residents and directly and indirectly impacted thousands of businesses. We want to support the Thai Red Cross who are helping people in Thailand recover from this disaster.

 

Update 3: We have just received notice from HMV Gamerbase that they will be supplying the winning team with 5 copies of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. In addition they are also hosting a facebook contest where you can win a GoldenEye or MW3 game for PS3 or Xbox. We have made a seperate thread on how to win that contest.

 

Update 2: Western Digital gave us three WD VelociRaptor drives which we will be giving away to the community! We have made a seperate forum thread explaining how to win these beast drives so go check it out!

 

Update: In response to this initiative QuadV's Mennace will be doing a 24 hour streaming marathon from Sunday 16:00 CET up to Monday 16:00 CET.

He will be streaming and casting our COD4 charity cup and after that he will have special guests on, all in order to support the Thai Red Cross! So be sure to tune in and make some donations to support this good cause.

Rules:
- COD4 5vs5 Search &  Destroy PC
- Promodlive 2.11 with mr12 mode
- Teams are allowed to use mercs
- All rounds are BO1, Grand Final is BO3 (decider picked by admin).
- No-shows can be claimed 10 minutes after your matchtime.
- TZAC (new SLAC name) has to be used by all players in all matches. Check this BEFORE starting the match by using the /ac_players command in console.
- Any form of cheating will result in a permanent ban from all Team Dignitas cups. An admin is free to kick/ban any player from the cup if he suspects a player of cheating / abusive behavior.
- All players must also record demos (even with TZAC on) at all times and screenshots of scores must be made after each round. Both must be available for admins at all times.

How to run SLAC
1) Register on this TZAC website
2) Activate the account
3) Go to the downloads section on top of the site and download the setup
4) Find the "TZAC - COD4" launcher where you installed
5) Enter your username and password
6) Press the login button
7) Press the Browse button and locate iw3mp.exe in your COD4 install dir
8) If there's a match ID provided or if teams agree to play a match with a certain ID, you can enter it in the match id field (not necessary!)
9) Press the Start the game button

How to check-in
Just send a message to the tournament admin on #dignitas.cup @ Quakenet and let him know that your team is ready to participate in the cup. Make sure your team is marked as 'checked-in' on the teams list which will be posted by the tournament admin.
