1) #DIGCSGO FE: WORLD CHAMPIONS

Straight from bootcamp in Philadelphia, the Women’s CS:GO team traveled to Poland for the annual Intel Challenge at IEM Katowice. After cruising through group stages, the team was met by long-time rival RES Gaming, the 3-time Intel Challenge Champions in the Semi-Finals. After narrowly dropping the first map, Team Dignitas dominated their opponent in the next two maps to advance in the Grand Finals. The next day, Team Dignitas only gave up six total rounds across two maps against European mix team, Squared Prospect. With that, Team Dignitas became the world champions, taking home $25,000 – the largest prize pot awarded to a women’s team in esports history.

2) #DIGCSGO FE: CONTRACTS EXTENDED FOR 18 MONTHS

Just before their Intel Challenge Katowice matches, Team Dignitas announced that the Women’s CS:GO team had their contracts extended for an additional eighteen months. The move comes on the heels of the team’s one-year anniversary with the organization. The team has proven to be the best in the world in women’s divisions. For 2018, the team has set their sights on qualifying for the Mountain Dew League, the second most competitive CS:GO division in the world. The Women’s CS:GO team has been praised for their hard work, dedication and willingness to go above and beyond for Team Dignitas and our sponsors.

3) #DIGSMASH: HUGS & LUCKY TRAIN WITH SIXERS; ATTEND NJ DEVILS GAME

HugS and Lucky continued their Philadelphia trip with training from Dr. David Martin (Director of Performance Research and Development for the 76ers) and team. Despite competing for nearly fifteen years, it was the first time either player received such an in-depth training program. The duo topped off the trip with a visit to the Prudential Center followed by an NJ Devils game.

4) #DIGSMASH: HUGS WINS NO FUN ALLOWED 2

HugS’ training in Philadelphia paid off with an exceptional performance at College Station, Texas’ No Fun Allowed 2 tournament. As he made his way through the 231-entrant tournament, HugS would meet or surpass a number of Top 25 players. In the end, he took on Misfits Gaming’s La Luna in the Grand Finals. Though he dropped the first set, he finished strong in the final set to secure a first place title.

5) #DIGSMITE: TEAM BADGES RELEASED IN-GAME FOR FAN PURCHASE

As the new SMITE Pro League Season 5 approaches, the game’s most recent patch has included team badges in-game. Upon purchasing a Team Dignitas badge, players can earn various rewards to represent their favorite team. A portion of each Team Dignitas Team Badge sale is sent directly to each team. Further, revenue from team badges also contribute to the esports prize pool for the current season. SMITE Pro League resumes mid-March.
