5 Reasons Why You Should Love Suntouch
Peter Logan, more commonly known as Suntouch is Team Dignitas' current ADC player in Smite, with quite a diverse background in eSports! He has been playing eSports for Smite since 2013, and has been with Team Dignitas for over 6 months. With a diverse God pool, Suntouch has played every role competitively, and feels like he brings a lot to the team.
We decided to have a chat with him to find out more about him and found out there are several things which make him great outside of Smite. Here are five reasons why you should love Suntouch.

1. He's been gaming since he was 7
Suntouch first started playing games at the age of 7 or 8, starting with Tamagochi, GameBoy and a Sega Megadrive.
“I've always loved games more than anything else”, Suntouch states, “and I don't think that will ever change!”
The Jungle Book game for Sega was the main game that got him into gaming; good choice!
“I remember how challenging I found it, and I would spend hours trying to complete it. Once I could, it was games like Aladdin or Pokemon, and football games.”
It seems Suntouch is a bit of a Disney fan!
His childhood favourites were Road Rash, Golden Axe, Fifa, Pokemon Red and Mario Kart. However, Suntouch's current favourites are Smite (who would have guessed?), Diablo 3, CS:GO, Hearthstone and Overwatch.

2. He is supported by his mum
When my mum finds me gaming, she tells me to go outside and be productive, but Mama Suntouch is extremely supportive!
“My mum used to play Golden Axe and Road Rash with me."
Golden Axe is a side-scrolling arcade game, whereas Road Rash is a vehicle combat game. It's nice to see a parent sharing their child's passion!

“[She] has always supported me in my dream of being a pro the most, and take a huge interest in everything from scrims to the Smite Pro League (SPL).
“Without her I wouldn't be a Smite pro.”
Aww! Support from friends and family is important, but not vital. If people around you don't believe in your dreams or aspirations, you might just need to prove them wrong and show them that you can do it.
"[My family] are really excited for me and happy I'm living my dream, even though that means I have very little time to spend with them"
I guess that's one of the prices you might have to pay to live your dream!
3. His girlfriend also plays Smite
Suntouch's girlfriend, Melissa aka thebesttaco is also a streamer for Team Dignitas!
“She quested me through my stream, and for some reason thought I was cute and decided she wanted to date me.
“I was kind of shocked because she is way hotter than me!”
Well we think they make a good couple!

“In the beginning we played more together, but now we tend to do our own thing in Smite.”
Perhaps they are quite competitive!
Melissa mainly streams Smite from 4AM-12PM EST, but you can also find her steaming other content; so check her out on Twitch and Twitter.
4. He has an experienced Smite eSports career of over 3 years!
From 2013, Suntouch has been playing competitively in the Pro League.
“The most challenging thing for me was being kicked from my first pro team. I felt betrayed as I had performed the best at the LAN we lost. It was a pretty low moment.”
Clearly it was their loss!
“My favourite moment was winning the Omen Challenge in Estonia. It was a fun and unique event that I loved doing.”
The Omen Challenge was a live action game on Twitch. Players were given challenges by a live viewing audience ever 4 minutes during 3 Smite games – that certainly sounds fun!
You can watch a broadcast of the Omen Challenge here.
5. He wasn't a natural-born Smite pro
Some aspiring Smite players seem to think that they'll never progress in their careers in Smite, as they're not good enough. However not everyone is a born pro!
"My friends who I played Minecraft with told me about [Smite]
"I was pretty bad and my friends gave me a pretty hard time so I stopped playing for six months."
Misplays happen to the best of us, it's about overcoming these and bettering yourself as a player!
"I'm just a competitive person, I want to be the best."
Suntouch's competitive nature keeps him inspired to continue playing Smite.
“If you want to improve be harsh on yourself, try and iron out any bad mechanics you may have. Watch your replays to do this
"Also watch any Smite pro players on Twitch, they are all great and you can always learn a lot.”
You can find Suntouch on Twitter, and Twitch where he is often streaming! For updates on when Team Dignitas players are streaming, make sure you check out the Team Dignitas Twitter page too!
