The newest addition to the Team Dignitas roster and the young prospect that is Philip 'Aizy' Aistrup shared his opinion on the recent updates in CS:GO. From the addtion of the two new maps to the map pool to the drastic changes to bullet penetration. The team has had up as and downs lately (as does every team), but Aizy feels optimistic about the rest of the year!

Gamescom ended several weeks ago and you finished top4, were you satisfied with the team's performance? What was your opinion on the tournament/event overall?

Aizy: Yeah, I am really satisfied with our top four ending even though I think we could have beaten fnatic in the semi-finals but they were just better that day. We did not play optimal, even though we should have won overpass ten times, but overall I am satisfied, yes.

As of recent two new maps were introduced into the official map pool, cobblestone and overpass. What do you think of this decision and are you excited to play these new maps?

Aizy: I love that you get to play new maps. I personally like overpass, not a big fan of cobblestone. I think huge changes have to be made to make this more competitive, but they introduced the new maps just a month before ESL Cologne, without any test in any leagues or so, which was not a great idea in my opinion.

Do you think the new bullet penetration system is good for CS:GO? Or do you think it should be reverted back to the "good ol' days"?

Aizy: I think the bullet penetration update was a good update actually, it makes more sence in the realistic way.

The scout has made a big return in CS:GO after getting patched. Jump shots now hit as well as the price has decreased from 2000 to 1700. Is the scout a viable option, perhaps for eco & anti-eco rounds?

Aizy: Buying a scout in eco really depends on the map, but yeah, its definitely a variable option for an eco. Personally I think it is way to overpowered that it only cost 1700$, and can jump shot. I am not so sure for anti-ecos though.

There has been a lot of fuss on different CS and CS:GO forums about bringing back features that were present in the previous installments of the series. Do you have any feature(s) in mind that you would love to see brought back into CS:GO?

Aizy: The only feature I can come up with is probably, acceleration. Right now everything feels so "heavy" and like in 1.6 you felt very light, and I really liked that, even tho I am a Source player.

With a few recent patches several bugs/exploits appeared in CS:GO. Is there anything you would like to see fixed about the current game?

Aizy: To be honest, there are a lot of "bugs", but for example, that you can get stuck in nades, make no sense at all. I can mention a lot, but I think this is a major problem for pushes, and happens way too often.

Are you enjoying your time playing for Team Dignitas? You were officially announced as part of the Team Dignitas squad around three/four months ago. How are you fitting in with the team?

Aizy: I really enjoy playing within Team Dignitas, playing for a top four team is really huge. We are getting along really well outside of the competitive scene as well, so I really do enjoy it.

You have yet to appear for the Danish national team, but are you keen on performing for the last years ESEC winners? How do you think playing for the national team will differ from playing with Team Dignitas?

Aizy: I think its great to play on the national team, I do not think that there is such a difference between playing for Team Dignitas and the national team. I have been in a team with almost everyone on the national team and the fact that I have not played for that long  makes it only a good thing getting more experience.

A commentator in the Gfinity 3 tournament said "Team Dignitas: the Arsenal of the CS:GO scene". Do you think Team Dignitas can achieve something big this year?

Aizy: I really hope that we will achieve something big, I mean ending top four at a major is not bad at all, but I think that we are a team with the caliber of winning a major, I hope we take the next one :)

Do you have any shoutouts?

Aizy: I just wanna give a shoutout to the team and Team Dignitas itself and its sponsors, for helping and supporting us!

Thank you Aizy for your time! The community and myself wish you, along with the team, the best of luck in your upcoming games and tournaments!
