We reached out to Kiara “milk” Makua to talk with her about the result of Fragadelphia 12, while touching on topics such as the squad’s evolution, mistakes needing improving, and their future events.

Interview with DIG CS:GO Fe player, milk

Hello Kiara. You just participated in Fragadelphia 12, in Pennsylvania, a 52-team mixed tournament, where you ended up in 13th-16th place. What are your opinions regarding the squad’s performance?

milk: We ended up placing 13-16th which is a great result. We all played really well and did our part. We're all happy with what we placed.

This tournament had a few MDL teams in it and you even placed better than a few of them. What does that mean for the team?

milk: We're all excited and inspired about it and will go home and grind even more.

Did you meet your goals with this result or were you aiming for more?

milk: I feel like we for sure met our goals, I mean getting 13-16th out of 52 mixed CS teams is a great result. We definitely showed people how far we can actually get.

You ended up being eliminated by Resolute, an MDL team with some well-known names of the NA FPL community. What did you take home from that loss?

milk: We learned quite a bit from that game. One of the examples of their trading was very good, they always got trade-offs in kills and deaths. We are still super proud of the result, and we're excited to continue grinding and can't wait for next year.

The first map of that match was very back and forth, ending up 13-16. Do you feel that you deserved that win, after being up for quite some rounds in the beginning?

milk: Yes, I feel like we did deserve that win but a few mistakes were made, resulting in us to lose our advantage.

What can you say about the team’s evolution and progress in these last couple of months?

milk: The team's evolution and progress have been a great success with picking up CAth. I feel like we're only improving and getting better from here, really happy with our current squad and excited for what the future holds for us.

What mistakes did you notice that the team still needs to improve on?

milk: Playing against MDL teams. It was a huge eye-opener on how their trades were so successful and perfect, I definitely think we need to work on our spacing and trading, I didn't notice too many faults.

How was the community feedback after the good placement in Fragadelphia?

milk: A lot of people came up to us afterwards saying how impressed they were and how surprised they were to see how far we made it, which felt really good.

You also recently returned from Portugal, where you won the GIRLGAMER Esports Festival 2018. What are your thoughts regarding that tournament where you successfully defended your title?

milk: My thoughts regarding that tournament was a slow start but we picked it up and ended up getting into the finals from the lower bracket and winning.

What are the next goals and events for the team?

milk: Our next goals for our team would be to keep playing and working hard and our end goal would be to make it into the MDL league on ESEA. As for the next events, it would probably be small LAN events here and there and then re-focusing on IEM in late February.

Any final words you would like to share to wrap up the interview?

milk: My final words to wrap up this interview would be to keep playing Counter-Strike: GO. Dreams really do come true.
