Interview with Kelazhur: Brazilian StarCraft II Professional Player and Premier League competitor
The StarCraft 2 professional player Kelazhur, winner of the most recent GG Cup and Premier League competitor took some time to talk about his goals and expectations, as well as the WCS Season 1 results. He took a long path in order to reach that spot in the first season of WCS, facing players like the peruvian Paulo "CatZ" Vizcarra, leader of Root Gaming. Despite winning several local championships, he qualified for IEM São Paulo in 2014, the first Premier of his career before losing to the korean player herO 2-0.

First of all, thanks for taking some time to answer these questions, can you talk a little about yourself?
Kelazhur: My name is Diego, also known as Kelazhur, and I think StarCraft II a cool game.
As we mentioned before, you are a great StarCraft II player. Have you ever played any other game in a competitive level?
Kelazhur: I tried to get into competitive League of Legends and despite getting a good result in a GO4LoL tournament, I decided to stick with StarCraft.
When did you start your career in competitive StarCraft? Which teams have you ever been a member of?
Kelazhur: My career started at IEM São Paulo that took place in the beginning of 2014. After that, I started to win every local championship. I was a member of several Brazilian teams before joining MGZ and then going back to another Brazilian team, TryA.
Do you work or study alongside playing StarCraft?
Kelazhur: At the moment, I only play StarCraft.
How did the people around you react to your decision of becoming a competitive player?
Kelazhur: My family and friends were both very supportive.
Now about the premier league, what were your expectations before the games?
Kelazhur: I was expecting to reach the last place in the group without winning a single map. I felt that it was a very hard group (Polt + TLO were in it), and I also felt like I wasn't ready enough.
Many people didn't have faith in you, but you still managed do drop TLO to the losers bracket with an impressive 2-0, what was your reaction at the moment?
Kelazhur: As I stated before, I definitely didn't expected that, It was a very nice surprise.
After being defeated by Polt, TLO and you were matched again but this time you lost 2-1. What changed between this series that made this overturn?
Kelazhur: The flutter took full control of me, TLO remained very calm.
What are your long term plans? Are you going to focus on an eSports career or taking an alternative path?
Kelazhur: I am planning to stay in eSports for a while before starting college.
To wrap it up, you did a nice job in the last few tournaments, are you planning on joining a team or you are the "lone wolf" style?
Kelazhur: I shall announce a team very soon.
