Weak3n is a player who gained much attention in ranked around last summer. With Weak3n being one of the only free agent junglers at the time, he was given an opportunity to play for Snipe (AFK's prior name). Ever since then, AFK as a whole has slowly been changing into a much stronger and scarier team.
Who is one of your favorite jungle gods and why?
Weak3n: Bellona is my favorite at the moment, simply because you only die on her if you make a major mistake. She is so safe, has crazy mobility, and has the damage to bring the entire kit together.
What is some advice you would give players who want to get into the competitive scene?
Weak3n: Grind ranked and while doing so only worry about making yourself better. Do not put blame on your teammates or waste your time worrying about winning or losing. Focus all that energy and time into looking at what you did wrong, right, or could do better next time.
Which Jungle Gods do you wish were more viable but are really hard to fit in most team comps?
Weak3n: Arachne would be my go to if she fit into every comp. I have more experience on her then any of the other junglers at this level and none of the competition has experience against her. Non traditional god in the jungle would be Ullr, he is by far the most enjoyable and satisfying god to play in the jungle but would never fit into the competitive scene.
Meta shifts happen constantly throughout Smite and during season 2 we've seen two jungle gods appear and disappear within a span of a few months. Bastet and Nemesis. Bastet, who was a top pick and top ban, has randomly died down. Nemesis, however, was never really top ban but she was really favored, why do you feel both of them have suddenly fell out of the meta?
Weak3n: Bastet was very strong at first when people were running the less tanky CC oriented lineups and with the new meta people always like to overlook the risks. With Bastet, if you fall behind, you are basically worthless to your team and players began to realize this plus the amount of team fight potential you give up just by picking Bastet over Hun Batz or even Thor. I however do not think Nemesis has fallen out of the meta, I think you are going to see a comeback for her in the summer split now that the tanky guardian meta is in style.
In several of your “top 5” jungle god tier lists you tend to drop Thor down a bit, why is that? Thor is usually seen as the “best overall jungler” due to how amazing he is.
Weak3n: I personally think the team fight potential of Hun Batz and Bellona are just far beyond Thor. The global was what set Thor apart, but so many of the "ganks" and fights in the early stages have transitioned into 3v3 and 4v4 team fights at the mid harpies/gold fury that the presence of the Hun Batz ult and Bellona frontline is immensly stronger because you can't rely on the global forcing numbers in your favor anymore. Also Serqet will always be stronger than Thor because of her damage output and mobility, you just have to have the right team comp for her to truly be stronger than Thor.
Speaking of top 5 junglers, who are the current top 5 junglers and why?
Weak3n: My top 5 junglers from first to last are Bellona, Hun Batz, Serqet, Thor and Nemesis. Each bring their own unique style into a full competitive lineup. As long as you realize what each god does best, you can outpick the enemy team and put your team in a better position before the game even starts just by cycling through these 5 gods.
