Jungler: the all around carry

Each role in League of Legends has specific tasks to do. So does the jungler. Place wards, get objectives, gank your lanes, control the enemy jungler, all of this will certainly improve your chances for victory.
Wards, wards, wards
The most important part of the game is definitely the vision your team has on the map. For that purpose, each player on the team should provide as much vision as possible. As for you, the jungler, and your ward coverage, there are three possible scenarios in which you can find yourself:
- If your team has the advantage: This is the best scenario you can find yourself in, but that does not mean that you have to stop providing vision. On the contrary, it is the best moment to put some deeper wards in the enemy side of the map, try to catch your enemies off-guard, and punish them for that, which can increase your lead. Also, deeper wards allow you to take away enemy buffs, or objectives with small possibility of response (ex. Dragon).

(some offensive wards that are good to have placed on the map)
- If the enemy team has the advantage: This is the scenario you do not really want to face, but surely there will be some games in which you will have to play from behind. In this situation, good defensive wards are crucial if you and your team want to get back in the game. Well placed defensive wards will help your team in terms of being aware of the position of the enemy team and not get caught face checking a bush on your side of the map. These wards are most useful if they are placed in the entrances of your jungle.

(defensive warding, as I already mentioned, will protect your jungle entrances)
- If neither team has the advantage: This is the scenario you will most likely find yourself in. In close games, you should have both defensive and offensive wards placed on the map, focused on the area around objectives (ex. Dragon, Baron Nashor) where the next team fight could happen. This will give you better vision of the enemy team, which can allow you to catch an enemy if he is separated from his team, without fear of walking into a bait. What is more important, you will have enough information about the position of the enemy team which can help your team to correctly choose what you should do next (ex. engage, rotate for turret etc.).

(few objective oriented wards, granting vision on the path from where the enemy team can contest the objectives)
Control the enemy jungler
If you know how to use the vision on the enemy jungler, it can give you a huge advantage. See him prepare for a top gank and you are in the bottom side of the map, call for your team and get the Dragon. However, there is always possibility that the enemy team will try to contest, but they will have to do it while being outnumbered. If there is no Dragon alive, and you see their jungler on one part of the map (ex. bottom), and you are on the other one (top is this case), you can go for a gank without fear that you are going to be counter ganked.
In another case, if both you and their jungler are headed to the same lane, you can choose whether to take that 2v2/3v3 fight or just tell your team to back off (depending on respective picks). None of these things can be done without proper vision and knowledge of the position of the enemy jungler. Good vision on the enemy jungler and even better calls can easily create advantage for you.
Counterjungling
A lot of players are wondering when is the right time to go in the enemy jungle? The answer is pretty simple, every time you see an opening, go for it. However, you have to have good vision of the area that you are invading, because you do not want to get caught off guard. Even though reducing the enemy jungler gold supply is a pleasure, you have to be sure that you are not going to put yourself in a position in which you will fall behind because of overextending. Still, you cannot consider counterjungling successful if the enemy jungler does the same. So, make sure that the entrances in your jungle are warded as well. I know it sounds impossible with ward limitation to only three wards, but you should ask your team politely to help you protect your part of the jungle while you are invading.

Conclusion
Place wards, save lives. Use the vision they provide properly, make good calls and win the game. Getting the wards down on the map is good, but using the vision properly is masterpiece. Try to do all this stuff correctly, and become the almighty jungler, the all around carry.
