Level One Warding

Introduction

Wards. We all know they are one of the most important aspects of the game. They give you vision through the fog of war and with this vision you can figure out your next plan of attack. They allow you to play as aggressive as you want without the fear of someone coming up behind you and ruining your day. Some of the most important wards in a game are the first ones your put down with your trinket right at the beginning of the game. Laying these wards down protect your Jungler from invades letting him get a safe and efficient clear, which he can use to help other lanes snowballs. So where do we put these wards? Today I will break down the places that each role should put their wards for both passive play styles and aggressive play styles.

Explanation
The most important part of setting these wards down is that you set them down at 01:00 – 01:05. The reasoning behind this is so your wards are around long enough to see if anyone is invading, if you do them any later your ward will not be back up in time to ward your lane by the time the jungler is done with his buffs and ready to gank. Any earlier you are blind to any late invades that may come.

Below I have two pictures that I will break down individually, first I want to explain what each symbol means. Red symbols are the spots you should place your wards if you started on red side and blue are where they should go if you started on blue side. The symbols are as follows: Oval/Circle - Top, Cross – Mid, X – ADC, Triangle – Support. You will also notice multiple squares, The blue outline with red center is blue side Junlger starting on your red buff side, while the solid blue is blue side jungler starting on blue buff side of the map. Solid red is red side Jungler starting on red buff side and red outline with blue center is red side Junlger starting on blue buff side.

Passive warding

These passive wards are for a defensive start. If you are not planning on a late invade and just going to make sure you Jungler's domain is safe. Most of the wards are placed in a position that sees a path into the jungle. The wards that are different are the Jungler's own wards. The Jungle wards that are put in mid brush give vision to the mid laner, so they don't get early cheesed.

Aggressive warding

As you can tell from these set of wards they are very deep into the enemy jungle. With all of these wards you want to be very careful when placing them. Make sure you place them at max range and over walls if possible. The first ward I want to talk about is the Red side support ward. This ward is impossible to put down unless you have “Scout” mastery in the “Utility 1. tree”. Make sure you have smart casting turned off and go into dragon pit and walk to the far corner, and place your ward over the gap. It should allow you to do it with the Mastery. The rest of the wards on here are more for scouting. You want to use them to find out where the enemy Junlger is starting.

Conclusion

After reading this I hope you are inspired to use your tinket wards earlier! Your Junlger knowing he is safe while clearing his camps will help him more than you can imagine. Once you have a safe and happy Jungler he can go help you snowball your lanes and pull out the easy win. Thank you again for checking out this artcile! See you on the rift!
