Tips for Climbing the Ranked Ladder

Introduction: I'm writing this post to explain basically tips that I hope will help you climb the ranks. This season I have hit diamond on seven different smurfs, so throughout my time playing these smurf games I have came to learn some things about why I personally am better and what people can do to get better. Now for starters, I am not some sort of LCS player, honestly I am not even mechanically gifted, I have just put the time into the game and done some of these tips that have helped me become a better player.
Tip #1: To have fun
The first and the most important tip of them all, and I know it's weird for some people to comprehend that you are not having fun playing a game, but it's actually very common for people to play this game just to play it rather than having fun. I noticed while playing a lot of my friends don't really enjoy playing the game and they just do it to climb the ranked ladder or some other reason. It becomes very frustrating when you are not playing to have fun rather just to get diamond or something. So just play to have fun, a lot of people ask me why I haven't hit masters or challenger as I am diamond 1, and I honestly just don't find the grind fun, I perfer smurfing or playing normals because that is whats fun in League for me, so find what is fun in Leauge for you.
If you are looking for a main, find a champ you have fun losing on, fun someone you have fun losing with, and so on. To most of these people who don't play League fun they mainly just find losing in League not fun and they play to win all the time. I'm not saying we shouldn't tryhard in all of our games, and I'm not saying it's not right to get angry when losing, it's completely normal to get angry. There comes a point though where you are not having the upside of playing a game with the downside of losing that you need to ask yourself why am I doing this to myself. You can't win every game so you have to learn to accept a loss, but that doesn't mean you have to accept losing.
Tip #2 Knowing your damage
When people ask me how to get better the most common answer I will give people is to play more, and that means a lot of things in one phrase, but knowing your damage is one of the things that comes from playing a lot. So when you know your damage you can easily kill your lane opponent when they think you can't kill them. It's pretty important for you to know your damages, and this comes with playing the game a lot. So when you are in a position like a normal game or a game that doesn't really matter that much you want to push yourself, know your limits because if you know your champions limits then you can play that champion to the best you can play it. Try to all in as much as possible so you can learn the damages, learn what this champ can do in certain situations. This is the easiest way to get better, just knowing your damages can go a long way if you properly take advantage of the situations where you can kill them.
Tip #3 Using Pot Advantage
Now this is something else I've noticed people have trouble on, is using pot advantage. Pot Advantage is using your potions to your advantage. If you start Flask you will have 4 more pots than someone who started a Doran's Ring. So you can take trades that won't neccesarily be good for you as long as you can use your pots to heal up and outlast him. In the same regard you would want to use your pressure with a Doran's Ring to pressure the guy with the flask by going all in and fighting him. Since he started flask he doesn't have the combat stats that will help you win your lane.
