Strong Picks, Bans, and You.

When climbing the ladder toward Challenger, there are many different strategies to get farther and farther up the ladder. A big part of winning is champion select, whether it's getting your favorite champion or it's getting rid of the big picks in the current meta. Examples of current strong champions based on number ban rates include: Warwick, Gnar, Fizz, Irelia, Morgana, Zed.

First off, let's talk about this guy. Warwick has made an astonishing entrance in the preseason with his insane sustain in the jungle and crowd control for team fights that can lock down the enemy carry and his ability to become a strong tank makes him a very strong pick in this patch. Even still with the nerfs Warwick is still seen in all ranks. Warwick is still a good pick even after all of the nerfs, so if you're not the best jungler pick this guy if you can. He'll make your jungle experience less of a hassle than it has to be.

Zed is a great pick for the mid lane a strong assassin with a lot of out play potential. His passive makes him great at farming early, use his ult on the enemy carry to quickly burst them down and be in and out. Zed uses energy which means he can stay mid without being concerned with spamming his abilites. If you can get ahead of your opponent and get items you can quickly turn the game with Zed's ability to assassinate or split push. With a lot of practice you can dominate mid and quickly climb to ladder toward promotion.

Gnar in patch 4.21 is a top lane monster (no puns intended); his great laning phase makes him a safe pick his ability to kite in mini form is outrageous and his late game tanking ability makes this champion a great pick overall. His crowd control in mega form sets up your team to roll over your enemies and push for the win late. His damage in mini form is great, build a Blade of the Ruined King and a Brutalizer into Ghostblade gives you enough damage to kill your lane opponent and push other lanes. Gnar is a great pick for the top lane in the current meta at high or low ELO.

Morgana is an amazing support with her long range snare that roots for 3 seconds at max rank, and her shield that prevents one spell being cast on the champion the shield is casted on. Her passive can keep her healthy and her ultimate will make sure the enemy can't fight back. Morgana is a 1350 champ that is an easy support to learn the role with. Her crowd control makes her a great ban or pick at any ELO. Her Q can lock down that one champ in particular to make sure he/she isn't a problem for 3 seconds.

Introducing everyone's favorite lane opponent the master of the troll pole you know him you love 'em Fizz. Fizz is a melee assassin who excels at getting in and out and virtually taking no punishment for it. Fizz deals more damage the lower your hp is so keep in mind when chasing him that he can quickly turn a fight in his favor. Shutting down Fizz in lane is possible and play very safe and use mad sustain try biscuit's or Crystalline Flask.
