MLG Providence

MLG Providence was a great reminder of how fantastic this community can be! A big thank you is due to all the organizations and individuals that make these events so enjoyable. Thank you MLG, Riot, Dignitas, all the sponsors, and other groups for putting in the extra effort, it made Providence a memorable experience for all the players and fans.

The tournament itself was run very smoothly, the games were played on time with very little downtime in between. If you have followed other League tournaments, you know how challenging that can be, so really well done there.

Also, the venue had plenty of space to move around, talk with your team, conduct interviews, and interact with fans. Everyone that came over to us to say hi :D Thanks, it’s awesome meeting our fans in person!

Shout out to TSM on their first, first place finish and for all their help and continued efforts in building the League of Legends community by pioneering some of the first tournaments, starting the first large community site, and everything else they do. And really to everyone who made League of Legends as popular and competitive as it is today. Especially the players that got us started and continue to push us to get better and better.

It has been an incredible journey, and we have loved every minute of it! We will be continuing that journey in a couple weeks as we travel to Busan, Korea to represent the United States at the World Cyber Games. We are all very much looking forward to WCG and have been practicing with the new masteries and changes to make sure we give the best showing we can.

Though we may not have done as well as we were hoping at Providence, many of our games were very close and entertaining. I still can’t explain how we got some of those Aces against EG and TSM :p You can check out our games and all the other games here at the MLG site.
