NA LCS Week 4 Day 1 - Pivotal Plays

In this article, I will highlight the most pivotal plays of the day. Player statistics will also be featured.

 

Game 1 – Cloud 9 vs XDG

Cloud 9 – Winner

Near the 18 minute mark, Cloud 9 and XDG traded towers. Cloud 9 took the outer and inner bottom turrets and XDG took the outer and inner mid turrets. The pivotal play of this game came when XDG made their way back into their own Jungle near the Purple side blue buff. LemonNation landed a perfect Death Sentence onto mancloud and pulled himself over the wall, bringing Sneaky (on Sivir) with him using Dark Passage. This fantastic initiate by LemonNation lead to not only a double kill by Hai (on Kha'zix) but Cloud 9 was able to pick up Dragon as well.

 

Game 2 – Team Dignitas vs Coast

Imaqtpie: Jinx – 7-1-7

Coast

Near the 28 minute mark of this game, Cruzer on Dr. Mundo landed a cleaver onto Pantheon, and KiWiKiD (Annie) followed up with a Disintegrate and a stun. Imaqtpie on Jinx picked up the double kill and Scarra (Karthus) used Requiem to finish off Shiptur on Ziggs. Team Dignitas would go on to take Dragon and two Barons before winning in 41 minutes.

 

Game 3 – TSM vs Evil Geniuses

EG started this game off strong, picking up first blood and a few early kills. But around the 24 minute mark, TSM engaged EG in a fight near Dragon. Snoopeh, Pobelter, and Krepo went down to Dyrus on Shyvana. Wildturtle picked up the kill on Innox, and Xpecial rounded out the Ace by killing Yellowpete. After the fight, TSM took advantage of the Ace and killed Baron Nasher.

 

Game 4 – Team Dignitas vs Curse

Curse – Winner

Team Dignitas and Curse played very strong games. Team Dignitas went down early and managed to fight their way back from a 5000 gold deficit with a well timed Dragon kill by Imaqtpie at the 24 minute mark. The two teams danced around one another for a good part of the mid game, until Curse landed a great initiate on to Crumbzz (Vi) and then killed Scarra (Akali). Team Dignitas was forced to pull back and Curse picked up Baron Nashor shortly after.
