Hello fellow summoners to my first instalment of a quick and easy guide on how to become a better player. This will teach you how to become a better player by teaching you new methods on how you can approach your future solo queue games and how being a nice person can affect the outcome of a game.
Step one. How to be a better player. Many league of legends players look for guides on how to become a better player well this may be the type of article you are looking for. When people think of becoming a better player they automatically think of their individual skill, however this is not necessarily the case of being a better player. Becoming a good player can also mean being a better person and being a better person will genuinly help you win more solo queue games whether you're in Bronze or Diamond.
Now a lot of the league of legends game is about vision and map control especially in the lower elo's. A good and easy tip is to just simply ward more often keeping vision on important points like both red and blue buffs and choke points like the tri bruches and then entrances and exits to your own jungle to be safe from invades or potental ganks. Warding more can make the difference between the enemy team getting a kill on you or a teammate avoiding the gank and relieving pressure from all the other lanes and wasting their jungler's time. Also most people's misconseption is that they think that warding is just for the support players and that's their job and nobody elses however as it is an aspect of their job everybody in every role can buy a ward for 75g or a pink ward for 125g and using the different types of wards to maintain control during a game.
League of legends solo queue may be "infamous" for people who rage, trolls and a bad community, but solo queue does not need to be this way. If you try to be positive in your matches, your team will function more as a TEAM. Something you can do in champselect is be nice to people. As an example; just try to ask for your role politely like "hi, guys I would really like to mid please". Secondly it's ok if you just main one role, however you should always go into a solo queue game willing to play all other roles. If your main role is taken by somebody and you're last pick, you should've played enough of each role to know how to win with it. If you are not confident with a specific role you can always play that role in normals and practice what it takes to win as that position.
Finally I am going to leave you with a small challenge for the next time you go into a solo queue match; just try to be a really nice person to everybody on your team because they just want to win that same game just as much as you. The only way that can happen is through teamwork and cooperation. You should try to give your teammates encouragement throughout your match; if your teammate dies for first blood or is "feeding", avoid flaming and instead try to write something positive like "too bad on that death maybe you can do better next time". The benefits of saying this may seem small and useless to you but it will make your teammate feel happier about himself and that player could turn that into a higher quality performance and make your team win that game.
If this article has helped you in anyway I would love to hear your response and let me know how that challenge went.
