SKTT1 is the third Korean team to be attending the World Championships stage, the region securing a third spot after their crushing 2-0 victory over the Chinese LPL at Allstars last May. SKTT1 is a longtime powerhouse in the Korean E-sports scene, having players dominate both Broodwar and Starcraft 2. There League of Legends team is no different, forming rather recently in early 2013, but has proven highly sucessfull since, notably their pickup of the amateur midlaner, Faker.

In their first OGN season, the team earned third place, going 3-1 against KT Bullets in the quarterfinals, and only losing to the eventual champions, MVP Ozone. SKTT1 was then able to 3-0 CJ Frost in the fourth/third decider match, to the surprise of many, deliberatly using Frost's reliance on late game teamfights against them with sucessful skirmish comps.

Next, the team would enter into OGN Summer, and after a flawless group stage, SKTT1 would face the Jin Air Falcons, which was previously a different SKTT1 squad, but SKTT1 and Faker swept the quarter finals 3-1, and once again, entered into the Semis against MVP Ozone. This time though, SKTT1 would win the series 3-1 and enter into the finals, which they would win 3-2 against the KT Bullets, which gave them enough circuit points to recieve the first seed spot at the Korean Regionals. Again, SKTT1 would face against the KT Bullets, but would win 3-1 and claim their spot into the World Championships.

The team, from left to right:

Bengi: The Jungler. Known for his love of Nunu and Jarvan IV, Bengi is an all around solid jungler with few weaknesses, playing Evelynn, Vi, Elise, Lee Sin, Nunu, and Jarvan IV in his last 9 matches. Don't underestimate his ability to play what's overpowered.

Piglet: The AD carry: Considered the best Vayne player in Korea, SKTT1 is Piglet's first Professional team, but he has quickly rosen the ranks and quickly gathering international attention for his solid mechanics and love of his female ADCs, Caitlyn and Vayne.

PoohManDu: The Support. Going 10-1 with Nami in OGN Summer, PoohManDu certainly has a favorite champion. However, PoohManDu also plays an excellent Fiddlesticks, Sona, and especially his Zyra. PoohManDu excels in letting Piglet scale into the late game on his hyper carries.

Faker: The God Mid Laner. Only 17, Faker is widely considered the best player in the world, inspiring countless youtube highlight reels, and twitter hashtags. Especially proficient on Orianna, Ahri, and Zed, and known for his aggressive playstyle, Faker will be looking to make his mark on the world stage.

Impact: The Top Laner. While Piglet and Faker are the flashy playmakers of SKTT1 with their mechanics, Impact is one of the most consistent top laners in Korea. Rarely losing his lane, Impact can play a large variety of Champions, and can't be banned out.
