Gaming Gear.eu were the winners of the International Wildcard Tournament, which pushed them into the Season 3 World Championship. Formed in 2012, the Lithuanian-based team has constantly been a top tier threat in the European amateur scene, but unfortunately never managed to qualify for the European LCS.

The majority of the public audience would consider this wild card team a mere stepping stone for the other teams they face against in Group A of the World Championships, due to their lack of success on the professional scene. However, due to the team’s constant outlook as the ‘black sheep’ of the group, any of the heavy hitting teams may be surprised by just how well coordinated this group of players can be. Likewise, as we've seen in the past, if one of the teams they face against fails to properly research Gaming Gear.eu, we might see a few upsets occur from the hands of these Lithuanian underdogs.

Gaming Gear.eu will look to prove themselves as a professional powerhouse on the largest of stages imaginable, and hope to also give themselves a boost in experience and knowledge by sparring toe-to-toe with the best of the best.

Meet the Players:

NBS (Top Lane) – NBS seems to favour champions that can become late game menaces, and pushes for being an additional threat on the team. We’ve seen him most recently pick up heavy split pushers like Tryndamere, but has also played champions like Elise in the past, with huge success.

Alunir (Jungler) – Alunir has recently favoured champions that can provide a lot of control on both jungles at the same time. He’s most recently favoured Lee Sin, who allows his team to have stronger early game control, and let’s his lanes transition into a better late game with his presence.

Mazzerin (Mid Lane) – Mazzerin’s most recent champion picks seems to suggest he’s quite comfortable with using different playstyles in mid. During the wildcard tournament, we saw him pick up champions like Fizz, and Orianna. With these kinds of picks, Mazzerin shows he has both the capability to farm out a lane, and the ability to tango against the opposing mid lane.

DeadlyBrother (Marksman) – Deadlybrother seems to show his best foot when he’s given the ability to play a champion with decent strength in the lane. He’s done well in the past with champions such as Varus and Ezreal, but is also willing to play champions like Ashe or a late game hypercarry, depending on what’s needed for his team. Overall, he’s a highly versatile Marksman.

Inspirro (Support) – As with DeadlyBrother, Inspirro seems to play what best suits his teams needs and does so quite well. Overall, he’s a solid support player, who’s also decent at setting up team fights when required.
