World Championship Team Highlight - Gambit Gaming

Gambit Gaming (formerly Moscow Five) has been at the top of the League of Legends scene for years. When the main roster was acquired by the Moscow Five organization in December 2011, the team was already off to a hot start, winning IEM Kiev in January, and IEM Season VI - World Championship, in March.

Finishing 3rd/4th at the Season 2 World Finals, the team sought to prove themselves, and they continued to dominate the European scene. After switching to Gambit Gaming this January, the team shocked the world when Edward announced his departure from the team, stating "First of all, the main reason of such end is misunderstandings between me and Genja. Despite to the fact that we played together for more than one year we didn't fit to each other. Secondly, I don't like the current atmosphere in the team after few bad results in a row. Due to these factors I have decided to leave the team." 

The team that was at the top for a year and a half, suddenly found themselves without a Support player. After playing some of the Summer Split with a new Support, Darker, they struggled to reclaim their former glory, with their rivals citing a weak bot lane. On August 1st, Darker was replaced by Voidle, after his strong showing as a substitute convinced Gambit that he deserved a starting spot. After placing 4th in the Summer Split, Gambit Gaming defeated Evil Geniuses 2-1, clinching their spot at the World Championship. With their roster now settled, Gambit looks to blow away the competition, and reaffirm their status as one of the top League of Legends teams in the world.

Voidle: Support. The newest member of the team, and the only one not from Russia (he's from Estonia). Despite his short time on the team, he's proved his worth with his strong performances on Thresh and Sona.

Genja: AD Carry. Genja has been called the brains of Gambit, coming up with their team comps and strategies. He has popularized strange builds for his champions, like getting two Bloodthirsters on Miss Fortune.

Alex Ich: Mid Lane. Alex is the team captain, and "face" of Gambit. He is famous for his diverse champion pool, and is one of the most feared Mids in the world.

Diamond: Jungle. Diamond is known for his counterjungling, and his expertise on Lee Sin. Along with Genja, he theorycrafts and comes up with new builds and champions to play in the jungle.

Darien: Top Lane. Having a large champion pool like the rest of his team, Darien can always bring out an unpredictable pick. He has also shown that he is one of the best Shen players in the world, with a 5-1 win ratio, and a 7.8 kill/death ratio.
