Finding their stride in the Summer Split, Team Vulcun currently sits at second place in the LCS, just ahead of CLG by one game. Jack "Xmithie" Puchero, the jungler for Team Vulcun Techbargains has been with the team since their transformation from Team FeaR to Vulcun and took some time to let us know more about his team and what type of champions he likes to roam the jungle with.

You favor the aggressive initiating junglers like Xin Zhao and Elise, why is that?

Xmithie: I always hate farming and I just want to kill the opposing team that's why I usually pick aggresive junglers (Unless my team tells to otherwise).

Where do you feel that junglers are right now in the 3.8 meta?

Xmithie: I think in the current state of the meta, junglers can carry games. Either from being really tanky and be in the frontline, or have assassin junglers like eve/elise and burst the enemy carry.

Who do you respect most or look out for as a jungler in the North American scene?

Xmithie: I respect all the junglers but I look up to C9's jungler Meteos the most since his playstyle is more of a carry type.

After having such a rough start to the Spring Split, how does it feel to be a top two team in the Summer Split? What was different about this split for you and your team?

Xmithie: It feels refreshing knowing that you don't have such a disadvantage early in the split. Also, It's good morale for us since we're all happy and motivated to be much better.

Do you think having Gnomesayin as a manager and Kenma as a coach has been beneficial?

Xmithie: Both of them have their different roles in our system and the stuff they do takes out all the stress from us so that we can just concentrate on just winning the game. So yeah, they are awesome.

How has the transition in the support role from MuffinQT to Bloodwater gone with Bloodwater being the dedicated shotcaller?

Xmithie: I played with Bloodwater before in the past on LAN tournaments and the transition was smooth. We get along pretty easy.

Vulcun is one of the only teams to have beaten Cloud9’s adopted Korean play style, was there any counter studying or did you guys simply outplay them at MLG?

Xmithie: Our coach Kenma watches all of the Korean games and we are sort of going to that playstyle. We just simply made less mistakes and that's how we got on top.

How did you get your name ‘Xmithie’?

Xmithie: I just simply liked the movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith and any game that I play the name "Smith" is always taken, so I just put "Xmith", and when I was gonna make my first account on LoL, "Xmith" was taken and so I took "Xmithie" haha.

Ah-der, der ah-derpa, der der?

Xmithie: Duh huur purr derp.

On the Team Vulcun website you’re described as team jungler and part-time stripper. Any comments?

Xmithie: Description says it all. :^)

Any shoutouts?

Xmithie: Shoutouts to my team, PWRCLOTHING.com , Razer, Techbargains, IBuypower, NoS, and our sponsors Ali and Murti.
