League of Legend's All-Stars go to Shanghai

The best of the best League of Legends players from around the world are heading out to Shanghai for the All-Star break that will take place from May 24-26. Fans have voted in their favorite players representing the regions of North America, Europe, China, Korea, and Southeast Asia to fight on the world stage. They will be competeing in not only the All-Star tournament but also in a jungle, solo, and duo lane skills challenge.

This competition isn't just fun and games at the end of the day, the prize will have major implications in the Season 3 World Championship. The wining region of the All-Star tournament will recieve an extra spot for their region in this year'sWorld Championship Tournament.

It doesn't end there, the region in last place will not recieve a first round bye for the top team in their region at the championships. This means every team from that region would have to play through the group stage to make it to the bracket rounds.

With team Southeast Asia receiving a first round bye in the All-Star tournament, for Taipei Assassins winning the Season 2 World Championships, they are safe from this fate. There is certainly much more on the line than regional pride for all of these individuals.
