Triple kill after triple kill, an amazing blue buff steal and a showdown with Doublelift -  Patrick 'MegaZero' Glinsman has certainly proved that his devastating Riven playstyle is not to be taken lightly.

Why don't we see more of Riven in competitive play? What was it that finally convinced your team to let you play Riven?

MegaZero: I believe it's just the fact that the players in LCS haven't taken the time to learn Riven. She has a lot of tricks that make her go from an 'okay' champion to a great champion. For me personally, I've always loved Riven, my team just thought she was really weak. I played her in some scrims and some solo queue before last week, and my team approved. It also helps that I made a pretty solid appearance in this week's LCS.

Do you feel more comfortable in 2v1 lanes compared to before? Are there any champions that you turn to specifically when you anticipate fighting in a 2v1 lane?

MegaZero: I feel much more comfortable 2v1 than I did in the beginning of the season. It's more of an experience that you have to get used to. In solo queue, you never 2v1 and I had never really experienced it before. There are some champions that do much better compared to others, but for me there aren't too many specific ones.

It's more of knowing how to play that chapmpion 2v1. For example, a Cho'Gath can farm relatively easily, while a Riven can actually kill the lane relatively easily with a gank.

In the game versus GGU, it seemed that MRN had a strong early & mid game. What do you think was the main thing that cost you guys that game?

MegaZero: Definitely our indecisiveness and the Baron call. It was probably one of the dumbest calls we've ever gone through with.

In the game versus CLG, at what point did you and the rest of the team feel that it was your game to lose? What was it that gave MRN such strong objective control in the early to mid game?

MegaZero: It's hard to say. Throughout the entire early/mid game, I felt like we had the lead (which I believe we did). We were up dragons and turrets even though we made have been down a kill or two. After the team fight at our second bottom turret where I got a triple kill, it was definitely our game to lose, but it was probably even before that fight because we were still pretty far ahead.

As for our strong objective control, I believe a lot of it came from how well I played the 2v1 lane. It's hard to notice because the camera only shows top and mid for the first 5 to 10 minutes, but I kept up on cs with a Nasus, while keeping the turret above 80% life, with only using one health potion. Because of this, we took top turret much faster than them, then ended up getting a free dragon. We were already up 2k global gold at this point.

Your 1v1 duel vs. Doublelift certainly kept us on our toes, are you going to be looking for a rematch in Superweek?

MegaZero: I'm not really looking for a rematch. I just do what I think is best for the team. I believe Doublelift plays too much like it's solo queue and it can cost him the game. I'll admit he outplayed me, but there was no reason for him to be bottom; and then because he fought me, he used both defensive summoner spells.

For the next 5 minutes, we took turret after turret after dragon after inhibitor because Twitch was unable to be within 1500 range of the fight or he would die. A flashy play may win fans, but I'd rather play a solid team game and secure our spot in LCS.

Considering that your champions had been banned out a lot before, how have you gone about increasing your champion pool? Are we likely to see some new picks from you anytime soon?

MegaZero: I've been practicing a couple of new champions, and even bring in some old ones, such as Riven! It's really starting to allow a lot more picks for me. For example, Malphite and Shen are starting to see their bans against me. This leaves Renekton, Rumble, Riven, Irelia still open. There are also a couple of other champions that I've been practicing that might show up in our next LCS matches!

Who do you think are the best 3 top-lane champions of Season 3 so far? And why?

MegaZero: I can confidently say Shen is up there just because he is dominant in lane and is able to bring so much to the team with his ultimate. Then Renekon because of his overpowering lane dominance and ability to roam around and help the team so much. It's very hard for me to put a 3rd champion up there, as they're all very close especially with recent nerfs. Rumble and Elise were definitely top 3, but they got nerfed fairly hard.

I would have to say maybe Jayce. He counters many strong top-laners, holds his own 1v2 very well, and brings so much to a seige comp, allowing you to not only defend easily, but push very easily.

Now that Riot is putting a limit of 5 Red Potions, do you think that this will affect the viability of any popular top-lane picks?

MegaZero: I haven't thought about it too much, but this and Fortitude Potion going to cost more gold will probably change a lot of things. Champions with very low sustain are going to be much harder to pick because they can only have 5 pots. Champions that rely on "all inning" are going to have a much harder time too.

I believe this is the biggest nerf to mana-less champions, as Flask is still a viable option for those with mana. Champions such as Riven, Renekton, Rumble, Zed may see a much more difficult top lane experience

What's an average day at the MRN gaming house? Who's the resident food thief?

MegaZero: On an average non-LCS day, we usually get up pretty late (noon or so) and get breakfast on our own. We follow this up by maybe some duo queue games, maybe some streaming, maybe go out to lunch. Then we usually scrim for a couple of hours (anywhere from 4 - 8 hours), go out and get dinner, then maybe some nightly activity. It's not super interesting, but it's a lot of fun just hanging out with everyone!

ClakeyD makes sure you're asleep before he takes your food.

Thank you for your time, do you have any shoutouts/closing statements?

MegaZero: Shoutout to all my friends back home and my family! It's great to have support from everyone! And a shoutout to my college Carnegie Mellon! It's a great place to go to school if everyone is out there applying! Thanks for the interview
