Elise support, is it a good idea?

Elise support, is it a good idea?

Elise, the Spider Queen is a champion Riot released that has been a true terror since her release, only since recently has her power been nerfed.  If your a player that has recently watched some European LCS matchs, you will see that some teams picked Elise support. At first, a player will see that and will probably say something along the lines of  "oh man, that player picked a top laner as support, what a noob, he shouldn't play this". Now Elise support isn't that bad of a support pick for 2 reasons.

The first reason will be that, she has good damage as a support along with snares and burst. If she gets caught or dove at tower, she has an ability to rapel out of the way, and negate alot of damage. Her Q ability hits a champion for a percent of the champion's health. The damage is also based on how much health the champion has, the more they have, the more it will initially do. Another thing stated was that she does have a snare, a skillshot snare.

If she can land it, she and the ADC can unleash alot of damage on the champion afflicted. Since the ADC will also be the person to do the most damage, and Elise starts with her ultimate ability. Her Q changes when you do, dealing damage based on how much health the enemy has lost. One thing to be careful to do is not get the kill. Only get the kill if your carry cannot. The ADC is the "Carry" after all. But don't worry, you will still keep your High Damage.

Elise support, is it a good idea?

My second reason is that she keeps that damage she has all game because it is a percentage. Late game, you can Q harass so well, because it is that damage based on how much health they have. You won't max Q right away more then likely because her W is more valueble as the ranged harass. Q is still good, but W is also AoE based and can help push the lane harder. Your late game damage is based upon the health of your enemy, and health scales all game until max level. Plus you have to fight annoying tanks like Jarvan, your damage will still hurt.

You will still build support build on Elise, the traditional Aegis,  sightstone if you need it etc. f you still happen to have room to build damage items, definitly go Rylai's Crystal Scepter, and Liandry's Torment. that way Rylai's gives you tons of health and a slow on your spellcasts, makes it quite easy to reach enemy carries or low targets. Liandry's would work in conjunction with Rylai's. An example of that would be that you use Q on the enemy tank.

Since your spellcasts slow, the 2% of additional damage that you melt the target for with Liandry's will actually become 4% with the slow that it puts out. plus both put out AP that Elise can further increase her damage. You are a support, but your a support that really hurts.

Elise support is a great example of how the europeans are also changing the current meta. She shows that even incects can do wonderful things for other people. i guess you could say the "queen" is trying to" support" the peseants!
