Interview with GoSu Pepper: "I'm not surprised Asian teams rose to such a high level"
I recently had the opportunity to speak with one of the top support players, Edward "GoSu Pepper" Abgarian from Moscow 5.BenQ (m5.BenQ). He shared his thoughts on season 3 changes, recent tournaments and some of his non gaming side.

What do you think about the Season 3 changes? Do you see a change in the meta? What roles & champions do you think will benefit the most from new items?
GoSu Pepper: I like everything in the changes of the third season except a new store interface, but in general it's not a big problem! I believe that within the next 1-2 months the game will completely change. There was a lot of new items, changing talents, runes, etc. After the patch I really like to play on a support, a lot of new item is to make a support even stronger than before. Also increased gold gained per second on a support is easier to buy an item and wards. They also introduced an item on the ward, which is good tech for support.
How do you think the addition of Sightstones and time limit on Oracle changes the game?
GoSu Pepper: These two items do not really change the game for tech support, mostly for junglers.
With Nami being the most recent support, what are your thoughts on her and do you think she will be played competitively? Do you see yourself playing her?
GoSu Pepper: I played it for about 10-15 games, at first I like it, but then after each game it seemed to me worse and worse. At this point, I believe that it is not playable on the large and serious tournaments.
What does m5.BenQ do as a team that has made them one of the most successful teams?
GoSu Pepper: The main thing is the incentive and desire to play and well, we all want it! But at the moment we each have our own problems in life (family, studies, etc.)

Have you been surprised at the success and rise of Asian teams since the world playoffs? What do you think they do differently to make them so strong?
GoSu Pepper: I'm not surprised that Asian teams rose to such a high level, they want to win more than us, train more than us, they all do better so they are now in a stronger form.
Do you think the Asian teams will continue to be a strong threat or will we see a rise of EU & NA teams in Season 3?
GoSu Pepper: I think that the level of EU and NA will increase, the Asian teams will have a much harder time playing against us!
Can you give us an example of your schedule? How often do you scrim and how often do you solo/duo queue?
GoSu Pepper: Almost everyday I play solo ranked 2-6 games. Team as a whole is on a break, in the course of this week we will start training again.
Does m5.BenQ play on server other than EU & NA? Do you scrim against teams from Asia?
GoSu Pepper: We play on on EuWest server, on NA and Asia we have a huge ping of 200+.

When you're not playing League of Legends, what are some hobbies of yours?
GoSu Pepper: I do not have much time, I am a student at the University and I play LoL. That is all at the moment.
What do you see yourself doing in the future after your League of Legends career?
GoSu Pepper: If my career in this game is over, I'll finish my education (if not finished) and go to work.
Do you think Riot should change Lee Sin to the name Diamondprox?
GoSu Pepper: Maybe he was once the best player at Lee Sin, but not now, every second Professional Travel forester plays like it!
Do you have any shoutouts to friends & fans?
GoSu Pepper:I want to convey to all hello, I love you all, thank you BenQ! Haters one love
Also, I want to apologize to all. After playing a lot of games in SoloQ, I saw many flamers and inadequate people. I recently played a really bad ranked game and someone flamed me so hard. Of course I did not like it and it was not nice. Now I understand how people felt that I flame and I'm sorry!
Thank you Edward "GoSu Pepper" Abgarian for taking the time to do this interview. I would also like to thank Arthur "breakthedeskplz" Cechladze, m5.BenQ editor for your help translating and making the interview happen.
