Preseason Infographic: Support Items

With Season 3 just around the corner and so many new items to choose from no matter what you are trying to build, it can be difficult to figure out how to restructure your build. Although many roles received shiny new items in the shop, it seems as though supports got one of the best deals (for once).

Riot told us before the patch that they wanted to give every player more options to customize builds to the specific game and situation, and it seems as though they have done just that. Let's take a look at each new potential support item and the cases in which they would be most useful for you, your carry, and your team.

The colors around each item border signify the types of lanes I have found the items to be most useful in so far. Items marked with blue are strong against poke lanes, items marked with red are strong against kill lanes, and items marked with green are strong if your own duo is aggressive. Any item that is marked as good defense is of course also good if you have a passive farming carry. Unmarked items are strong in  most situations.

Remember that these cases aren't 100% encompassing, and how you build should always coincide with your play style. Make sure to comment down below if you think there are other uses for these items or if you want to share the strategies and builds you have tested out so far in the new patch.
