How not to rage and improve your team play

Everyone might know that feeling: you are playing a team game, probably League of Legends, you're giving it your best and doing so well and you have even more creep kills than your opponent; but then your team makes so many mistakes, face-check a lot, focus the wrong opponent in the team fights and they won't protect you or listen to pings, they just throw the game. You start flaming each other a lot and throwing around insults.

Does this really have to happen? Do you really need to rage every time you're teamed up with trolls that can't read or write or even play this game?

Calm down. Things can be so much easier with anti-rage training. Before you feel like raging, just take a deeeeep breath. Close your eyes and imagine something beautiful. Maybe your girlfriend or boyfriend. Maybe something delicious to eat or the beach of your last holiday. Or even your next victory.

Maybe go drink some water or cook yourself a tea, because drinking a nice cup of tea will calm you down immediately. Also listening to some peaceful classical music might calm you down. Try some Mozart or Beethoven.

Now once you've got time, maybe after you've died because of your mates or any other reason, write to your team mates and tell them what they are doing wrong, tell them how they can improve and try to take the lead of that game. Check and analyse what your team is doing wrong and try to improve by telling them about it. If your support isn't warding enough, tell everyone who got an item space, to buy wards and ward, too.

If your opponents got an oracle, try to shut him down. If your carry doesn't have enough farm, tell him to keep farming, but he should always be careful and take a look at the map. In teamfights, always tell your team to position right and to protect the carry. Why protect the carry? Because he can carry the game of course! Try to make your team understand, who they gotta focus and why.

Don't flame your team, even if they might deserve it, because flaming will demotivate them and probably make them play even worse. And I bet that's not your intention, since you want to win the game, don't you? Just a few nice words like "I will give you a cookie", "you look cute" or "good job" (even if they didn't do that well) will motivate them to play better. Cheer them up and create a nice, friendly atmosphere, gain yourself some honor.

Keep telling them that you can win this game, if they just do all things right and won't make mistakes like face-checking or trying to farm alone on a pushed lane without map vision.

"Know your environment" and "Who needs a map?" are both speeches from Ezreal and he is right. You always need to know your environment in the game.

Map vision is usually the key of winning teamfights. If you got vision, you know were your enemies are and you know if you can engage when you are 4 or 5 and they are only 2 or 3. With map vision you can easily trap your opponent and win the fight, as long as your focus is on their carry and not on the tank. But also never flame your carry if he is focusing the tank, because sometimes it's just not possible to run through all the other enemies just to focus their carry.

If you follow all of these things, your games should look something like this: peaceful, without rage, flame and probably even with some more victories in your pocket.
