Quick Snips: The Advantages of avoiding Tunnel Visioning
I tend to find myself tunnel visioning in games, when I'm not quite sure what's going on, or when I've just gotten back from a long break of playing. I tend to do the first thing that comes in mind as an AP carry, and that's to go for a target, and try to kill that target. This usually leads me to die a few more times than what probably was necessary, and on the rarer of occasions, causes me to completely throw the game away, simply because I wasn't paying attention to anything else.

You will just have to believe me when I say that there have been a few games that I've single-handedly thrown simply because I get a little too cocky. I try to 1v1 their AD carry at 30 minutes in the game, and find out that his whole team is actually only a few seconds behind him, putting me into a horrible position, and ultimately sacrificing my life. This is tunnel visioning in a nut shell. If I were to give a standard definition of tunnel visioning in League of Legends, in a nutshell it would go as follows:
Tunnel Vision: Focusing on a single aspect at a random point in time during the game.
Examples:
- Focusing primarily on damage in a team fight, and no thought of positioning is given whatsoever.
- Focusing primarily on positioning in a team fight, with very little damage being output by yourself
- Focusing primarily on harassing in lane, with very little commitment to CSing as well
These are all issues of tunnel visioning, and in the video down below, hopefully I can show the plus sides of what can happen when you aren't succumbing yourself to tunnel visioning.
