Quick Snips: Roam fat man, roam!
Have you ever asked yourself the question, as a mid laner, what am I doing wrong? No matter how hard I try, I just can't impact the game enough to carry along the rest of my team, and gather ourselves the 'big W'? Well don't be alarmed: you aren't the only one. In fact more often than not, it seems to be the most popular question asked. In a competitive game, people strive to get better at the game, and climb the ladder system to prove that they, as a player, have improved. But sometimes your team mates will let you down, for any numerous reason.
Well that's where roaming has its impact in the game. Now roaming has it's uses and its most oppurtune timings, which are explained in the video, but you must understand one thing. Roaming is a hit or miss objective. If you decide to roam around the map looking to ease pressure off of other lanes, or help your team snowball a lane, you sacrifice presence in your own lane.
When roaming is successful you have better gains as not only have you helped your team, but you've gained the experience/gold you may have lost by a mid laner who retaliated by pushing to your tower hard. When roaming fails, then all that's happened is the potential for missing out on this experience and gold.
Roaming is a double-edged sword, which may have its benefits. However, keep in mind which champions can do it easier, and try to add it into your ever-expanding arsenal as a mid lane player.
