Team Dignitas’ HGC Preview: Week 2

Last week was the start of the new HGC league season. While Team Dignitas only had one series, this week we are generously given two series to enjoy! Team Dignitas will face two up and coming EU teams, Synergy and Tricked eSport. Both series will be a best-of-five and both will be the first games of their respective days. This will be an exciting weekend full of action and the squad is ready to fight it out against these two formidable opponents!

Team Dignitas vs. Synergy - Friday, January 27th @ 9am PST / 6pm CET

Synergy is the remains of the old Virtus.Pro team from 2015. Their key players have experience in the professional scene and even took a series against beGenius ESC last week. This will be a great opportunity for Team Dignitas to show their improvements from the previous week and prove that they are a top contender in EU. Last week we saw the diversity in Team Dignitas’ hero pool, now they will need to show their ability to adapt to the new meta established within the first week of games.

Team Dignitas vs. Tricked eSport - Saturday, January 28th @ 9am PST / 6pm CET

An interesting matchup, as Tricked eSport is the team that brought old Team Dignitas warrior player AlexTheProG out of his HotS retirement. He is joined by Ethernal, a top GM ranked player who is respected in the EU scene. Team Dignitas will need to play to their strengths and work on their team synergy to ensure a victory against Tricked. Ragnaros and Tassadar proved to be powerful and enabling heroes in last week’s meta, so we’ll see if either team chooses to prioritize these heroes.
