Team Dignitas sign PurdyKurty and aLOW to PUBG team
Sun 28th Oct 2018 - 6:56pm
Earlier this month, the official PUBG esports team announced changes to their residency requirements to compete in the professional PUBG League. Our previous lineup was not able to compete in Europe or North America, given that Wookiebookie and GustavQQ are from Europe, while Uncivil and Adam are from North America. We have decided to pursue a North American roster, which means we will be saying goodbye to our Danish Duo.
We would like to sincerely thank both GustavQQ and Wookiebookie for their time with the team, which saw them compete at the highest level in North America across all online leagues, and place second at the OGA PIT Invitational just one month ago.
Looking towards the future, we are excited to announce the signing of two of the hottest players in North America. Kurtis "PurdyKurty" Bond from California will take the reigns as our designated in-game leader, while Aaron "aLOW" Lommen will be bringing great game sense and top fragging capability. They will be joining Adam "Adam" Didiano and Timothy "Uncivil" Ebarb, who retain their positions. The team will operate under the leadership of our coach Dylan "didz" Didiano, who oversaw the scouting process.
DYLAN "DIDZ" DIDIANO - PUBG Coach
"It was a pleasure to have coached and befriended Wookiebookie and GustavQQ. They are both amazing PUBG players and I wish them the best in their future endeavors. Going forward with PurdyKurty and aLOW, I am extremely happy to have them onboard. With this full North American roster, we will be preparing for the upcoming NA Pro League as well as competing in GLL and PUBGOnline. I'm really confident in the direction we are heading and I'm excited about our overall mindset as a team already."
MICHAEL "ODEE" O'DELL - Team Dignitas General Manager
"Over the next few months, the next steps in PUBG's evolution as an esport will be revealed, and we intend to be at the forefront of it. Alongside Adam, Uncivil and coach didz, Wookiebookie and GustavQQ helped put Dignitas PUBG on the map and we are grateful for their efforts. With the addition of PurdyKurty and aLOW, we're confident that we've identified a roster that will be competitive on the international stage as PUBG esports enters a new and exciting era."
Throughout the coming weeks, Adam and Uncivil will sync up with PurdyKurty and aLOW to become the North American powerhouse that they have always aimed for. The primary goal of the team is to qualify for the North American PUBG league, and we are excited to watch them compete in qualifiers at the end of the year.
