1) #DIGRL: TEAM DIGNITAS ACQUIRES WORLD CHAMPION ROCKET LEAGUE TEAM

Former Gale Force Esports, the best Rocket League team in the world, has joined Team Dignitas in advance of the upcoming RLCS Season 5 World Championships. The European-based team comprised of Jos “ViolentPanda” van Meurs, Pierre “Turbopolsa” Silfver and Alexandre “Kaydop” Courant will look for another world title as one of the favorites in the June 8-10 Grand Finals in London. In addition to the RLCS Season 4 Championship, ViolentPandaand Kaydop won the Universal Open Rocket League Season 1 tournament, while the trio also earned silver medals at the ELEAGUE Cup, Dreamhack Atlanta 2017, FACEIT X Games Invitational 2017 and Dreamhack Summer 2017. The team also qualified for the Northern Arena Invitational 2 Finals, hosted in Toronto from July 15-17.


2) TEAM DIGNITAS APPOINTS NEW CEO, MICHAEL PRINDIVILLE

Michael Prindiville has joined Team Dignitas as the organization's new CEO. Prindiville, former Co-Executive Producer at NBC Sports, was responsible for first bringing Rocket League to national television with the network’s Universal Open - the same event won by Gale Force Esports. Prindiville co-created and developed the Universal Open, a joint NBC Sports and FACEIT esports tournament property, and helped develop the NHL’s inaugural esports competition, the NHL Gaming World Championships. Prindiville kicked off a New York media tour with an appearance on FOX Business News’ Varney & Co. and mentions in Venture Beat, Sports Business Journal and Sports Business Daily among others.


3) #DIGPUBG: ADVANCED TO PGI NORTH AMERICAN LAN QUALIFIER

Qualifiers for the largest PUBG tournament to date, the PUBG Global Invitational (PGI), started last weekend. In the North American qualifier, 320 teams participated. Heading into the final phase of qualification, Team Dignitas was paired with a number of PUBG favorites including OpTic Gaming and Cloud9. After eight games, Team Dignitas finished on top of their lobby with a significant point-spread ahead of the next opponent. Team Dignitas PUBG has advanced to the offline North American qualifiers in Burbank, CA from June 22-24, with the continent’s twenty best teams. The top 3 teams in Burbank will head to the Berlin Finals to play for a share of $2,000,000.


4) #DIGPUBG: TEAM BOOTCAMPS AT PHILADELPHIA 76ERS COMPLEX BEFORE DREAMHACK

The Team Dignitas PUBG team traveled to Philadelphia for their first team bootcamp. In addition to playing two tournaments (GLL Season 2, PGI Qualifier) from local LAN center n3rd St Gamers, the team also went to the Camden, NJ facility for their first taste of the Sixers experience. Along with meeting HBSE CEO Scott O’Neil and Team Dignitas CEO Michael Prindiville, the team received sports science training with Dr. David Martin and filmed content with DBLTAP. Later this week, the team will travel to Austin for Dreamhack’s $100,000 tournament.


5) #DIGCSGO: BOTH MEN’S AND WOMEN’S TEAMS OPEN SEASON WITH VICTORIES

The CS:GO Men’s team, competing in the Mountain Dew League, and CS:GO Women’s team, competing in ESEA-Main, delivered victories in their opening week. In the Mountain Dew League, veteran players ryx and ptr helped the team to a 16-7 victory over Atmosphere. The Women’s team, competing in their highest division to date, secured a 16-8 result over Planetstrike. The season will continue for seven more weeks as both teams look to secure playoff berths in their respective divisions.
