It’s been an exciting ride for the first phase of the Heroes Global Championship. Heroes fans have enjoyed a steady stream of amazing games from all regions. With Week 10 of the league play now completed, the focus is now set on the upcoming Playoffs this weekend. Team Dignitas aims to secure their spot at the Mid-Season Brawl, the first of two global championships for Heroes of the Storm this year.

The HGC Playoffs are in a stepladder format, where a team’s final placement after regular season determines where they will be positioned in the Playoffs. Team Dignitas finished with 3rd place, making their match in the Playoffs in Round 3. Who they play will be determined by the rounds played earlier in the ladder. Round 1 is between the 6th and 5th placed teams, where the winner of that series will take on the 4th place team in Round 2, and the winner of that will face Team Dignitas in Round 3. Following that series, the winner will play Team Liquid, and whichever team wins that epic series will take the 2nd qualification spot for the Mid-Season Brawl.

Saturday May 20th @ 11:30 am PST / 8:30 pm CEST

The HGC Playoffs start this weekend with the first series on Friday. Team Dignitas will be playing their first match on the Saturday against either Tricked eSport, Playing Ducks, or Team Expert. If Team Dignitas wins Round 3, they will face Team Liquid on Sunday @ 11:30 am PST / 8:30 pm CEST. All matches will be best-of-five series. Team Dignitas will need to fight hard to win these matches, as all teams have their sights set on representing themselves and their region at the Mid-Season Brawl. Get ready for some amazing games and hopefully some interesting and diverse drafting strategies!
