DIG is known for its rich history in Counter-Strike, with many of the game's best having competed under our banner. As we make our much anticipated return, we're proud to welcome true icons of the game to our organization. Swedish legends Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund, Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg, Adam "friberg" Friberg and Richard "Xizt" Landström have joined our new DIG CS:GO roster. GeT_RiGhT, f0rest, friberg and Xizt competed together from 2012 to 2017, winning and placing in many of CS:GO's most prestigious tournaments.

The team's iconic and Major-winning roster also included Robin "Fifflaren" Johansson, who will now serve as the DIG CS:GO Head Coach while also taking on a management position within DIG. These five players won an unprecented eight-seven straight games in 2012 through 2013. In 2014, the group won the ESL One: Cologne 2014 Major Championship, an event that brought fans to tears across the globe.

To round out the starting roster, we've scouted an incredible young talent from Norway, Håkon "hallzerk" Fjærli to compete alongside our historic roster. We are confident hallzerk is poised for superstardom while paired alongside the game's veterans.

One of the best players to ever play Counter-Strike, Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund, added his thoughts about the next step in his legacy:

"When this offer fell into my lap, I felt this was the best choice for my future of everything I had on the table. Mostly, because I didn't want to end my career already and that burning desire came into my core that I haven't felt for some time. Joining an organization like DIG is like a dream come true - mostly because of the people around it, the team itself and what the goals are for the future. I'm more excited to wake up every day knowing it'll be a battle, but a battle I will not give up that easily."

Coach Robin "Fifflaren" Johansson" is ready to add a new role to his career:

"I'm super excited to be joining the DIG family. It was important for me to find an org who values the players and respects the process and I believe that I've done just that with DIG. I look forward to doing great things together, Let's go make history again."

While the team will reside in Sweden, we look forward to having our players practice, compete and spend time with fans in our various training facilities throughout the United States.

CEO Michael Prindiville commented on what this exciting move means for DIG:

"The signing of these world class players and DIG's re-entry into CS:GO marks yet another tentpole moment in the explosive upward trajectory of this esports organization. In the last 7 months DIG has re-entered the Top 2 esports in the world - League of Legends and CS:GO - in stunning fashion, assembling intoxicating teams that define the brand of DIG: championship pedigree, innovative, engaging and gritty. I'm thrilled to welcome GeT_RiGhT, Xizt, friberg, f0rest, Hallzerk and Fifflaren to DIG and look forward to engaging with the fans as we tell the best story in CS:GO."

Former Counter-Strike competitor and current VP of Marketing for DIG, Heather Garozzo, shared her excitement about recruiting one of her favorite teams:

"As fan of Counter-Strike for nearly two decades, I've always viewed GeT_RiGhT, Xizt, friberg, f0rest and Fifflaren as the epitome of professionalism and competitiveness. From the U.S., to Brazil, to France to Australia, to Denmark among countless other places, I've witnessed first hand how adored and respected these players are across the globe. When the opportunity came to bring these legends into our organization, I knew it was the best move for DIG, the perfect opportunity for the players to reunite under a management that is deeply passionate about their careers and a pivotal moment for the CS:GO community. I see the same competitive and professional qualities in hallzerk that are in our legendary players, leaving me confident that we're building a new dynasty."

Our new DIG CS:GO team is already hard at work, with bootcamp starting today in preparation for the upcoming CS:GO Major Rio Online Qualifier.

It's time to build a new dynasty.
