Gaming is Better With Friends

Whether you are playing Starcraft II, DOTA 2, League of Legends, or an MMO; It's always frustrating when communication with a stranger doesn't work. Don't get me wrong, I have met many wonderful people on the solo queue or ladder. But nothing feels better then joining a game of LoL with 4 of your friends and totally having fun.
There are more reasons that gaming with your friends makes your experience better. I will go over a few awesome ways friends help you kick butt in the online world.
Good communication is key to winning the game. Sure, typing in team chat is effective, but it's not as quick. For example: When I am in a game with friends I like to host a Skype call or a Mumble chat for us to hear each other on. If you haven't tried this out, you should. The seconds it takes them to type "bot MIA" may cost you precious seconds to get away. Being in call while playing Starcraft II in a 4v4 ladder match is an effective way to properly get the strategies right, in the right amount of time.
I find that it not only helps out with the strategies of each game I play, it's fun to be able to joke around with my friends while playing games. Also, don't be afraid to ask people in your party if you ladder solo or solo queue if they have Skype, Mumble or Steam chat. I have run into quite a few people were willing to communicate that way and it was quite helpful. Don't be afraid to communicate!
Gaming with your friends can turn a simple game into a friendly competition among mates; which can also help tremendously with beating the opposing team or challenge. If you are constantly trying to get more kills or out macro/micro your friends; this is fine tuning your play. Just think of what all your friends can do in a team fight, or a push into an opponents base. I almost always play better with friendly competition amongst my friends because it's a nice kick in the butt for my serious game play.
Just Plain Fun
Interaction with your buddies while gaming has to be the best way you can spend your time. A bond forms with the people you play with. This helps out a lot when it comes to the playability of the game. If you have more people to play with; the less likely you are to get bored with the game. Most games out there now are actually designed to be able to have a party of your friends play with you.
So now, I hope that you are ready to tackle the queue in League of Legends with your friends; or even the Ladder in Starcraft II. Don't be afraid of communication! It only makes the game and strategies better!
